Claire joined nfpSynergy in July 2016 as the Head of Projects. Claire oversees all the bespoke qualitative and quantitative research we do including impact evaluations, service user engagement, stakeholder audits and much more.
Claire has worked in the voluntary sector for over ten years for a range of international development, refugee and disability organisations. Claire was a Research Fellow at the Centre for Population Change at the University of Southampton, and remains an affiliated associate. Claire joined nfpSynergy from the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) where she was part of their Crime and Justice research team.
Claire specialises in qualitative research on sensitive and emotionally challenging topics. She did her PhD in Social Sciences at the University of Sussex, exploring lesbian perspectives of the UK asylum process. Claire is a Trustee for Detention Action.
